We are pleased to announce
that the Big Day Out
will take place on the 11th May 2019
in Forfar: East & Old Church.
You can turn up and pay on the day, or book via Eventbrite.
The ticket price is £10 (plus booking fee, if using Eventbrite) and includes all seminars, lunch and refreshments.
The day starts with opening worship at 10.00am
and ends after our closing worship at 4.00pm.
As the Church of Scotland, locally and nationally, wrestles with the idea of what ‘radical’ change looks like, we’re very pleased to welcome Rev Robert Allan as our keynote speaker. At the 2018 General Assembly, Robert was the voice of those who felt that the Kirk was doing too little, too late.
To encourage and inspire our thoughts for change and exploring ways of working and worshipping together, we’re also pleased to welcome our seminar leaders for 2019:
David Williams – Go For It – funding sustainable mission projects across the Church.
Charis Robertson – Hot Chocolate – inspiring stories from this youth outreach project based in Dundee.
Jo Love – Wild Goose Resource Group – finding fresh ways to tell the Bible stories we think we know so well.
Phill Mellstrom – Mission & Discipleship, Worship – offering creative ideas to refresh times of worship, no matter the size or setting.
Chris Blackshaw – Pioneer Ministry – based in Ayrshire, enabling the Kirk to connect with the rural community.
Suzi Farrant – Mission & Discipleship, Youth & Children – developing and sustaining faith in young people.
